“Inquietudini” – by the artist Jean

From November 22 to December 3, 2025,  Galata Museo del Mare in Genoa is hosting Inquietudini (“Disquiet”), the second solo exhibition by the artist Jean.

An intense and deeply expressive journey, where each work becomes a meditation on the human condition, the pain of the contemporary world, and the real meaning of existence.

In this new exhibition, Jean presents a body of works where materials, techniques and forms intertwine and overlap in a continuous search for the archè, the original principle that gives life to artistic creation.

There is no single visual language: matter adapts to thought, shifting and transforming to convey the fragility and uncertainty of our age.

“There is no positive outlook, nothing capable of standing against the collapse of existential certainty.”

Inquietudini is therefore an invitation to pause and look within ourselves, to rediscover that part of our humanity so often forgotten in the rush of everyday life.
