The route tells the journey of the Italians who emigrated to America at the end of 800 and then describes Italy today, also a country of immigration.
In the first part you board the steamer “Città di Torino” to the Americas and disembark at Ellis Island where you are subject to the controls of the commissioners.
The second part presents first-person testimonies of people who have emigrated to Italy today, also told with messages in bottles on a fishing boat seized in Lampedusa.
