If you were setting off for a faraway destination, what would you want to take with you?

At the end of the 19th century, many of the people who boarded a ship were planning a new life in the Americas, and they carried their most treasured belongings with them. Each participant makes their own cardboard suitcase and fills it with memories, useful things and objects of sentimental value.

After the workshop, we visit the exhibition “MEM – Memorie e Migrazioni”.
