The humanoid robot designed by IIT Alter-Ego, after a first phase of testing carried out within the framework of the RAISE project (Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment) which has been in collaboration with UniGe-DIEC and the CNR, is finally ready to welcome visitors on the fourth floor of the Galata Museo del Mare, in the Coeclerici room.
Here, on Wednesday 9 October from 10 to 13*, Thursday 10 and Friday 11 October all day long, visitors can consult Alter-Ego for news and curiosities about the works of the permanent exhibition Navigare nell’Arte, of the Paolo e Giuliana Clerici Foundation.
For the first time, an IIT humanoid robot is being tested in a museum in Genoa, with the aim of optimising the visitor experience. For this reason, the University of Genoa will analyze the results to evaluate the effectiveness of this approach in increasing the attractiveness of some museum rooms.
