The Maritime Station

In an essentially merchant port, completely lacking in facilities for passengers, the Maritime Station remains the place where you prepare for embarkation: here are “smoked” luggage, to sterilize them from possible parasites; medical examinations are carried out to prevent the departure of people suffering from disabling diseases: the Americans would reject them on arrival, with costs borne by the Shipping Company. Finally, the customs officer in his sentry box – first interactive location of the route – will check our passport, reveal our name and give us useful travel tips.
