Coeclerici Hall / Navigating in Art

The 54 artworks of the Fondazione Clerici are on display for the first time. They are part of a collection little known but of great interest for consistency and
quality: with over 250 paintings, in fact, it is the most important private maritime collection in Italy and among the most relevant in Europe. The tour is organized in thematic islands; an open space, where the visitor is free to move around to capture different perspectives and points of view on what he observes. The panorama of the old city appears and disappears between the paintings, offering unexpected views, accompanied by a unique and always new soundtrack. The terrace is equipped with seating for a pleasant and welcoming break, where the visitor is surrounded by the scent of Mediterranean plants and the colors of the walls of the old town. The technical sheets and the historical/scientific in-depth analysis of the works of the Fondazione Clerici, even those not exhibited, are included in the multimedia catalogue within the tour and are available to the public for consultation. In the Coeclerici Hall are also exposed four large models of steamships and sailing ships of the Institution Mu.MA made in the last century.
